Slackwater Harbor
Recently awarded a $6.2M TIGER grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to help build a new dock on the Harbor that will include the rail-to-barge and barge-to-rail capability, the Port of Little Rock’s Slackwater Harbor provides current and new companies with additional shipping arrangements. Import and export materials and goods with ease, on time and safely through our multimodal, slackwater harbor.
- 4,500 feet long, 15 feet deep, 320 feet wide and no current
- 190-foot dock and a one barge berth facility, which allows for two barges, two deep, on both sides of the Harbor
- A turning basin so that the barges have easy access back into the river
- The adjacent industrial property is zoned I-3, the heaviest industrial zoning in the area
